Spice up Open Enrollment! Free Benefits Trivia Download

It’s no secret...employees don’t get excited about Open Enrollment meetings. And frankly, who can blame them? Employees usually sit in a meeting for an hour to be spoken to in insurance babble that just goes over their head.

Now, add in this virtual world we’re living in, and Open Enrollment meeting engagement declines even more.

How can you spice up your Open Enrollment meetings so that employees stay engaged and actually learn about their benefits?

  • Play a game!

  • Modify the content to fit their needs by collecting questions prior to the meeting.

  • Conduct a virtual scavenger hunt. Ask employees to find specific benefits information on your benefits portal. Send gift cards to those who find everything on the list. Example, what amount of wellness dollars do we offer by taking a health assessment?

  • Tell stories. Do any employees have a story to share about how they saved money? Perhaps by participating in the HDHP / HSA plan? Did someone save money by utilizing the carrier’s app. You’d be surprised how many employees like sharing these success stories with others!
